2 400g. cans of Valfrutta Steamed Sweetcorn 
1 knob of butter 
1 lemon 
1 slice of red bell pepper 
the tip of a teaspoon of sugar 
1 small bunch of parsley 
1 teaspoon of flour
extra virgin olive oil 
salt and pepper

Steamed Sweetcorn

Tender and crunchy Valfrutta Steamed Sweetcorn is carefully selected from a special naturally sweet variety and no sugar is added. It is delicately steamed in a small amount of water and salt and packaged just after picking to protect its unmistakable flavour. A natural source of protein and fibre, Valfrutta Sweetcorn make healthy eating tastier.


Melt the butter in a pan and add the lemon juice. Add the sugar and reduce it over the heat. Add the chopped bell pepper and the sweetcorn. Dissolve the flour in 1 spoonful of oil in a bowl to make the batter. Salt and pepper to taste and leave to thicken over a high heat. Serve sprinkled with chopped parsley.
