Puglia-style Soup

The best of Puglia's traditional cuisine, in a cheerful and tasty mix which combines the sweetness of green peas and Cannellini beans with the strong flavour of broad beans and chickpeas. With its low salt content and all the protein and fibre it contains, Valfrutta Puglia-style Soup makes healthy eating tastier.

Valfrutta Puglia-style Soup is available in a 250g opaque bag.

Preparation

Wash the product thoroughly. Cook without soaking: Place the product (250 g) in a pan, add 2 litres of water (warm) and, if you wish, add celery, carrot and onion. Boil them for around 90 minutes. Salt when cooked. Cook after soaking: Reduce cooking times by soaking for at least 8 hours in 1 litre of water. Drain and then cook as described above, reducing the cooking time to around 60 minutes.

    The refreshing and aromatic flavour of the beans is brought out by adding some chopped pennyroyal when cooked and a spoonful of grated goat's cheese.

The very best of Tuscan tradition, in a rich and full mix which combines the tenderness of pearl spelt with the strong flavour of mixed beans and chickpeas. With its low fat content and all the protein and fibre it contains, Valfrutta Tuscan-style Soup makes healthy eating tastier.

Salt when cooked. Cook after soaking: reduce cooking times by soaking for at least 8 hours in 1 litre of water. Drain and then cook as described above, reducing the cooking time to around 45 minutes.
