200g. of prawns
1 egg 
1 spoonful of potato flour
1 litre of frying oil (extra virgin, peanut)

Steamed Sweetcorn

Tender and crunchy Valfrutta Steamed Sweetcorn is carefully selected from a special naturally sweet variety and no sugar is added. It is delicately steamed in a small amount of water and salt and packaged just after picking to protect its unmistakable flavour. A natural source of protein and fibre, Valfrutta Sweetcorn make healthy eating tastier.

Preparation:

Place the sweetcorn in the blender with the egg and potato flour, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Blend to obtain a thick cream. Peel the prawns, dry them with kitchen paper and dip them in the batter. Heat the oil in a high-sided pan, test the heat with a drop of batter: it should bubble without browning immediately. Place the prawns in the oil and fry until crunchy, remove with a skimmer, drain on kitchen paper and serve hot. You can prepare them beforehand and heat them in a fan oven when you are ready to serve them.
