2 150g. cans of Valfrutta Steamed Mixed Vegetables,
2 carrots,
2 eggs,
100g. of grated Gruyère cheese,
4 spoonfuls of milk,
salt and pepper,

Mediterranean Steamed Mixed Vegetables

A delicious mix of delicately Steamed Sweetcorn, peas, green olives, black olives and red bell peppers, natural and tasty and ideal in a simple salad and hot or cold vegetable dishes. A natural source of protein and fibre, Valfrutta Mediterranean Mixed Vegetables make healthy eating tastier.


Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes. Boil in water for 15' until very soft. Drain and leave to cool. Mix together the eggs, milk, cheese and a pinch of pepper and nutmeg. Blend the carrot in the mixer and place in a bowl. Add half of the egg mixture and mix together. Drain the Mixed Vegetables, crush them gently with a fork and place them in another bowl. Add the rest of the egg mixture and mix together. Pour the vegetable mixture into small 4 buttered ramekins and cover with the carrot mixture. Smooth and bake for 25' at 180°.
