Lentils are said to bring good luck, but they are also good for you, so here is a very simple recipe which does not use them simply as a side dish for once. Cook the rice in plenty of salted water. For the sauce, chop the onion and the garlic (if you do not like garlic, leave the clove whole and remove it when cooked). When the onion and garlic start to brown, add the Valfrutta Lentils (you can use the whole 400g. can, but half is enough), the tomato sauce and a spoonful of concentrated tomato paste. When the sauce starts to reduce, add the oregano and a pinch of salt, lowering the heat after a few minutes. Add to the rice when ready. Enjoy!
